During the Columbus Day weekend, October 6,7,8, 2012, The Northeastern Pennsylvania Council held its biennial Traveling Camporee and travelled to Boston. Our Troop's scouts Adam, Adam, Ian, Dominick, John, Matt, Matt, Patrick, Jeff, Karl, Tim, and Bruce attended, accompanied by adult leaders Griff Lewis, Dave Minner, Ken Srebro, Len Kalinowski, John Maza, Kathy Lewis, Jack Evanik, and Dominick Rocco. It was a great weekend trip! For our weekend accommodations we camped at Camp Resolute in the Knox Trail Council. Some of the camporee highlights included a trip to the Harvard Museum of Natural History, the cool weather at Camp Resolute, the tour of the USS Constitution, and a hike along the Freedom Trail to places like the Bunker Hill Monument, Quincy Market, the Old North Church, and the Minuteman Monument -- all places marked by key events in the founding of our country.
