The Appalachian District held its annual Klondike Derby in January 1988 at Goose Pond Scout Reservation. One of the boys shown here apparently liked the camp so much that eventually he became one of GPSR's Camp Directors. Besides the fun they had that day, half of our team that year won't ever forget being locked out of the car for an hour at the end of the day! Too bad cell phones weren't invented yet.
