Troop 21 celebrated 50 years of Scouting in service to St. Mary's Visitation at a dinner on May 21, 1978 in St. Mary's school cafeteria. Father Walter Ferret, in the middle of the Troop 21/Pack 21 portrait, was the parish scouting moderator. Stanley Pashko, a youth member of the troop in the early 1930s who became an editor at Boy's Life Magazine and a successful writer of books for teens, was the featured speaker.
